JOB POSTING – May, 2012

POSITION: Customer Service Representative- 4 Month Contract

COMPENSATION: Competitive wage- $13-$15/hr depending on experience; Contract Completion Bonus; Product Perks; Casual Dress

REPORTS TO: Manager, Customer Service

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for creating a positive experience for clients during our busiest time of year. As a contact for customers, the incumbent provides assistance in the form of email communication, live chat sessions and phone calls.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Create a positive experience for customers by promptly, politely and accurately answering phone calls, emails and live chats.
  2. Address customer concerns and offering advice, solutions, refunds and exchanges
  3. Enter all orders into the Management Information System, process credit card payments, and follow up on orders that were not received by customers
  4. Follow up on all issues relating to credit card payments including confirmation that payment is processed and communicating with customers for payments that are not processed successfully.
  5. Responsible for sending out samples and brochures upon request and responding to customer inquiries regarding gift certificates.
  6. Provide support to other departments by entering test orders and samples, transferring calls and emails as required, and communicating errors, production and IT concerns where applicable.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  1. Superior customer service skills with an emphasis on detail and accuracy
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  3. Working knowledge of computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, database management and emailing and online chat.
  4. Ability to work independently, quickly assess situations and offer appropriate feedback and solutions to customer inquiries in a polite and professional manner.
  5. Previous experience within a customer service role and performing general administrative duties.
  6. Post-secondary education preferred but not required.

Contract Assignment

This position is a Contract role, to begin May through to the end of September.

Hours of Work:

May and June: Standard work hours for 8:30-5:00pm, Monday through Friday

July through September: During this seasonal peak period, the Customer Service Team provides coverage for two day shifts and one afternoon shift. Shifts will run Monday through Saturday and will rotate between:

Second Shift hours July through September 9:30- 6:00pm
Afternoon Shift hours July through September 10:00-8:00pm

The successful candidate will be able to work every other Saturday on any of the shifts.

JOB POSTING – April, 2012

POSITION: Production Lead

START DATE: Immediately

SALARY: Based on Experience

REPORTS TO: Production Manager

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing production staff and ensuring that orders are produced efficiently and without errors. The Production Lead is also responsible for ensuring that equipment is running well, troubleshooting and solving equipment problems and filling in for absent production staff.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing production staff and ensuring that workflow is efficient and smooth.
  • Communicate with employees on the production floor throughout the day, problem solving minor issues that arise.
  • Assist the Manager of Production in evaluating production staff performance.
  • Create and maintain work procedures to ensure safety and consistency in approach
  • Assist with inventory.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of print equipment by troubleshooting problems when possible, liaise with technical support via telephone and schedule on site support for servicing when required.
  • Cut and package labels, create stationery labels, address labels, iron-ons, wristbands etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong oral communication is required
  • Ability to relate well with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve specifically relating to workflow, resolving of minor staff issues, and other issues that can arise relating to production.
  • Working knowledge of management information systems, warehouse organization
  • Ability to proactively address issues and work independently
  • Intermediate computer skills and technical skills to operate printers are required.

Hours of Work:

37.5 Hours per Week
9:00- 5:00, Monday to Friday.

JOB POSTING – April 17th, 2012

POSITION: Production Operator 3-4 Month Contract

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 12

START DATE: Positions will commence May 28th, June 4th, or June 11th

SALARY: $10.50 - $11.50/ per hour

REPORTS TO: Production Manager

Position Summary

Under the supervision of a Manager, the incumbent is responsible for creating label files using computer software and to output the labels using commercial printers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up and printing label files by importing names and icons, adjusting text and size and outputting labels to printer and plotter.
  • Operation of print equipment using correct materials specific to the print job.
  • Responsible for performing additional duties including opening batches, cleaning and calibrating printing equipment and laminating and cutting jobs on the plotter.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong oral communication is required.
  • Ability to relate well with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to problem solve when experiencing difficulties with label set up and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Intermediate computer skills and technical skills to operate printers are required.

Preference will be given to candidates with a valid Standard First Aid/ CPR Certificate

Contract Assignment:

This position is a Contract role, to commence end of May/ beginning of June through to the end of September. Please note: candidates must be able to commit to work until September 28th .

Hours of Work:

The Production Team provides coverage for Day and Afternoon shifts. Based on the volume of production, it may also be necessary to run a Night shift during peak periods.

Shifts will be scheduled totaling 37.5- 40 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday. Candidates will be required to work one day of the weekend- either Saturday or Sunday.

Shift Schedules:

Day Shift #1 hours 7 00am- 3:00pm
Day Shift #2hours 9:00am- 5:00pm
Afternoon Shift hours 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Night Shift hours- 11:00pm – 7:00am

The successful candidate will have flexibility to be scheduled for work during any of these shifts
